Where will the Falcons go with #17?

The Atlanta Falcons have some crucial needs, all at defense and the franchise is not letting on as to where exactly the team will draft.  From linebackers, to guards to safeties, the needs are plentyful and thankfully so are the personnel in the draft but odds on favorite has to be on FSU Safety Keanu Neal, who was courted by Dan Quinn before he left.  The 2016 NFL Draft is tonight!

Falcons and Saints still believe in the system

The Atlanta Falcons (8-7) will host the New Orleans Saints (6-9) this weekend and even though both teams are out of the playoff hunt, expect them to bring their A games for different reasons.   The Falcons are fighting to give Head Coach Dan Quinn a winning season while the Saints are trying to prevent Head Coach Sean Peyton’s first 10-loss season.

“You could very easily say we’re not playing for a playoff position here,” Saints QB Drew Brees said. “Why risk it? Why do this? Well because first of all it’s our jobs. It’s what we’re paid to do. We take pride in what we do. But also we’ve got guys we don’t want to let down. We want to be there for them. We want to do this together.”

“To say that it doesn’t have any meaning is uninformed in terms of what we do professionally,” said Saints right tackle Zach Strief. “Guys are playing for jobs and guys are playing for certainly respect, and guys are playing for pride, and on top of that it’s a rivalry game.”

Falcons look to keep moving up playoff tree

The Atlanta Falcons are looking for their team to give it their all for the rest of the season as they try and push into the playoff seeding with a higher bid then their current 6th seed ranking.  After the 38-0 pasting the team took at the hands of the Panthers last week, the coaching staff will accept nothing less.

“I’m on the watch for everybody in terms of the way we’re going through it,” Head Coach Dan Quinn said. “That’s part of the evaluation you go through the whole season in terms of like how bad you’re going for it. That’s part of our program. That’s what I want, 100 percent all the time, all in.

It’s time for Falcon Faithful to take a road trip down to Jacksonville and help support your Atlanta Falcons on the road.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so get yours today!
